Division of Student Affairs Strategic Plan: 2025 – 2028

Our Division of Student Affairs Strategic Plan

Our Division of Student Affairs strategic plan will present the UMBC community with a vision for the future of our division, providing a direction forward for 2028. The plan will highlight objectives that will provide clarity on what success will look like and establish consistent expectations for assessment to ensure that our plan is achieved.

Throughout the 2024 – 2025 academic year, we will begin by explore the following strategic priorities, known as our centers of excellence, which the Strategic Plan Steering Committee will use to guide their work on identifying specific outcomes where we as a division should direct our efforts:

  • Financial sustainability
  • Wellbeing and care
  • Operations and facilities
  • Engagement and belonging
  • Student and staff experience

An emphasis on inclusive excellence will be woven throughout our approach and conversations about these centers of excellence. This will be a fluid process, and the centers may shift as we engage our division in conversations and feedback sessions during the fall 2024 semester.
