Urban Teachers is a four-year teacher preparation program that certifies aspiring educators while helping them earn a master's in education. But a future with Urban Teachers is more than just a future with a master's degree and teaching career; it's a future with the skills you need to accelerate student achievement and disrupt systems of education inequity.

Join our movement to revolutionize education and start building a brighter future in our communities of Baltimore, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

At Urban Teachers, our mission is to improve educational and life outcomes of children in urban schools by preparing teachers who accelerate student achievement and disrupt systems of racial and socioeconomic inequity. Our program is open to all majors and we are currently recruiting for Cohort 2022 (graduating seniors) and 2023 (juniors).  We are seeking aspiring educators to teach either Elementary Education, Secondary Math, or Secondary Literacy in Baltimore, DC, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Philadelphia. Interested in learning more about the program? Sign up to chat with Jessica Johnson, Regional Recruiter with Urban Teachers, on UMBCworks.
