Join Career Center staff as we take you to visit Kennedy Krieger Institute (KKI), a world-renowned interdisciplinary research hospital in Baltimore, working with a pediatric population!

The 
Neurobehavioral Unit (NBU) at KKI is a 16-bed inpatient unit recognized as one of the leading programs in the nation for providing intensive behavioral treatment to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and/or intellectual disability who display severe, challenging behaviors. 

SPACE IS LIMITED to 30 STUDENTS - REGISTER NOW on Handshake.
Transportation is provided, but an RSVP is required! 

Kennedy Krieger's recruits clinical assistants (CAs) and Behavior Team Associates (BTAs), and is looking to connect with UMBC students in the following areas of interest: 
  • Pre-med
  • Pre-nursing
  • Psychology
  • Biology
  • Anyone interested in working in a direct patient care role 
  • Anyone interested in learning more about applied behavior analysis (ABA)
  • Honors College Students
Working at Kennedy Krieger is a great way to get clinical experience for applying to medical school. It is also a great way to get direct patient care experience while you are in nursing school! Maybe you aren’t exactly sure what you want to do yet. Many people who start at Kennedy Krieger as CAs or BTAs transition to other positions within our career ladder or within the Institute! While working at Kennedy Krieger, you will have a chance to network with like-minded professionals while also being able to make a difference in the lives of children and their families!
