Description

The U.S. Department of State is excited to host its second virtual STEM Diversity Career Fair on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time.  This year’s event will again focus on STEM careers in the Foreign and Civil Service as well as student programs and professional fellowships within the Department.

We seek architects, engineers, IT professionals, electronic and electromechanical technicians, law enforcement and security technology professionals, cybersecurity professionals, data scientists as well as those interested in STEM-related policy issues such as climate change, emerging technologies, global health, and the supply chain among others at home and abroad!

During our virtual career fair, you will have the opportunity to engage with Foreign Service and Civil Service professionals across a broad range of STEM fields.  Learn how your STEM background can help you serve your country and promote global peace, security, and stability.

You will also be able to attend information sessions and panel discussions about various career paths, paid internships and career gateway programs, professional fellowship opportunities, our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, employee life and support, and reasonable accommodations for those with disabilities. Additionally, you can engage with U.S. Department of State personnel one-on-one.

Please join us on November 17th by clicking here to register.  Registration is free and open to all U.S. citizens with educational or work experience in STEM fields.  We encourage you to think about serving your country while experiencing the world, engaging with different cultures, and doing meaningful, intellectually challenging, and interesting work.
