Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) Office of Systems is hiring!  We are gearing up to hire approximately 300 entry- and experienced-level IT Specialists throughout the remainder of the year.  We invite you to join us in an IT career information session where you will hear from a top-level IT executive and UMBC alum!  We are an innovative organization where employees are our most valued resource.  SSA provides a wide range of IT careers, great flexibility, and work-life balance, while supporting technology that’s essential to you, your family, friends, and neighbors!

We want you to join the Social Security Association team! Through a variety of programs and services, we provide financial protection to tens of millions of people every year online, by phone, and in person, at more than 1,400 local offices, service centers, and other locations throughout the country.

Interested in making a positive difference in your community? Looking for a stable job with good pay, healthcare, and other benefits? Then a career with Social Security is for you, whether you are just getting started or already working and looking for something more. We provide training and mentoring for most positions, including those that directly help the public. You don’t need to know Social Security programs to join our team!

Please note: UMBC is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive environment for all faculty, staff, students, and visitors.  If you would like to request accommodations (e.g., ASL interpreters, captioning, wheelchair access, etc.) for this event due to a disability, please notify us at least two weeks prior to the event. Requests received after that time cannot be guaranteed, but we will do our best to make arrangements for program access. Please contact the event host (careers@umbc.edu) with your specific request and be sure to include the event title, date, and time.
