Go On the Road to visit the US Geological Survey Center. 

A RSVP is required on Handshake.

9:30 AM:  Meet at the Bus Loop located behind the RAC (Retriever Athletic Center- Administration Drive) to go over as a group to USGS, which is located on bwtech@UMBC Research and Technology Park.  Return to campus by 12Noon.

This visit is OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS.

The US Geological Survey Center (USGS) is the science arm of the Department of the Interior.  The USGS brings an array of earth, water, biological, and mapping data and expertise to bear in support of decision-making on environmental, resource, and public safety issues.

Students will obtain a guided tour of the US Geological Survey Center which is located on bwtech@UMBC Research and Technology Park. The tour will include laboratories, the warehouse, and some of the field equipment USGS technicians use daily. Students will also be given a short series of presentations on some of the work the USGS has worked on recently, and the opportunity to ask USGS staff questions about working for the USGS.
