Your first semester will be characterized by many new challenges and experiences, whether you are new to the college experience or a transfer student new to UMBC, and we want your first year to be the best it can be.


What tools do you possess that you know will contribute to your success? What are some tools you might need to add to your “success” tool kit? Come hear suggestions and tips from faculty, staff, and students who know what it takes to be successful at UMBC. Learn what to expect in the classroom and how to identify co-curricular activities that will enhance your academic, personal, and social life. Get answers to the questions that are causing you the greatest concern from people who know UMBC best.
