Description

THIS EVENT WILL BE RESCHEDULED as an opportunity to meet in small groups with representatives from the NSA.  If you are interested in receiving an email update about the rescheduled event, please click "GOING" below.

The National Security Agency (NSA) will be holding an Information Session with representatives from the Cooperative Education (Co-Op) Program.   Please stop by to hear how the NSA’s Co-Op Program may be a GREAT fit for you!

The NSA’s Co-Op Program is geared towards college second-semester freshman and sophomores majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity or Chinese related majors.  Applicants also have to be U.S. citizens and eligible to obtain a security clearance.

In this Program, students will alternate semesters of full-time work with full-time school, including summer semesters, until the student graduates. The Program requires a minimum of 52 weeks of Co-op work experience by graduation. This work experience allows the student to be fully prepared for full-time employment post-graduation.

These are paid positions and students’ salaries are highly competitive and determined by the percentage of credits completed toward their degree. There are other perks, too, like paid time off, paid holidays and sick leave. On top of that, you’ll also be eligible to receive reimbursement for one technical course per school semester.

The UMBC Connects series offers students and alumni the opportunity to meet with recruiters from companies and government agencies that are interested in recruiting UMBC talent. This is your opportunity to interact with individuals that may be able to land you that perfect internship or job.

Come when you are able, there is no need to stay for the entire event.  Program details will be announced as date approaches.

Please note: UMBC is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive environment for all faculty, staff, students, and visitors.  If you would like to request accommodations (e.g., ASL interpreters, captioning, wheelchair access, etc.) for this event due to a disability, please notify us at least two weeks prior to the event. Requests received after that time cannot be guaranteed, but we will do our best to make arrangements for program access. Please contact the event host (careers@umbc.edu) with your specific request and be sure to include the event title, date, and time.
