Advancing Black Pathways

ABP focuses on three areas where there are persistent racial and economic disparities that create barriers to long-term financial success. Three pathways – Wealth, Education, and Careers have been created to develop solutions that will yield the greatest tangible benefits. Under the Education Pathway, ABP offers a six-week summer, paid, full-time apprenticeship held in select JP Morgan Chase offices. This program aims to introduce talented and motivated under-represented rising college Freshman and Sophomores, in particular Black students, to financial education and to the financial profession.  The program will enroll students during the summer with the ideal candidate being interested in the financial industry and strengthening their business acumen. The Apprentice Program will expose students with hands-on experience, mentorship, a project-based curriculum helping to build a pathway to future opportunities. The Apprentice Program is committed to offering this opportunity to students from communities underrepresented in the financial industry and provide early professional development to selected participants.
