Engineering Internship Opportunities:

Power Transmission Solutions (a business segment of Regal Beloit Corporation) has Summer/Fall internship opportunities for Mechanical Engineering students in our Couplings Engineering design center located just south of Baltimore in Linthicum, MD – just 10 minutes from the UMBC campus.

Key Responsibilities:

•Assist Engineers and Customers with the design and application of mechanical couplings and u-joints used in industrial power transmission applications

•Apply engineering knowledge to create and modify designs to meet customer specifications 

•Work with Engineering and Marketing to develop technical proposals for engineered products

•Create mechanical assemblies using 2D and 3D CAD packages 

•Assist on New Product Development, Cost Out, and Productivity Improvement projects

•Interact with our global engineering teams as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

•Currently working towards a Mechanical Engineering degree

•Basic understanding of Machine Design Principles

•Introductory engineering knowledge in the areas of, but not limited to, stress analysis, mechanics of materials, dynamics and vibration analysis

•Basic proficiency with MS Office, CAD tools (preferably AutoCAD and SolidWorks)

•Professional and positive communication skills
