Head of Analytics, Data Science, and Development

Ali El-Annan is the Head of Analytics, Data Science, and Development at The State of Wisconsin Investment Board, the 9th largest pension fund in the U.S. managing technology staff for the 120 billion+ fund. Mr. El-Annan has held positions such as quantitative researcher, portfolio manager, and data scientist amongst other leadership roles at the largest asset managers and one of the first fintech’s which had the largest IPO of 2014. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He is passionate about teaching, community, volunteering, and learning.

SWIB is recognized as a premier investment organization because of its strong management of the trust funds of the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), State Investment Fund (SIF) and several other smaller trust funds.
