Description
You've probably heard that networking is important, even necessary for landing a job. But if the very thought of networking makes your palms sweaty, you are NOT alone!
That's why the Career Center and the College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences have teamed up to host the 5th Annual CAHSS Career Conference (registration required).
Students of ALL class levels and liberal arts majors are invited! Here's what you need to know:
- You will have the opportunity to connect and practice your networking skills with amazing UMBC alumni in a relaxed, no-pressure setting.
- The format will be structured for "speed networking," so you'll know exactly when and who to approach.
- The alumni will be arts, humanities, and social science grads now working in a variety of professional careers. They are eager to get to know you!
- Food will be provided.
You might even meet someone who can point you toward your next internship or job.

- Log in to UMBCworks and click Events on the left menu
- Search "CAHSS" and click the Attending button
Please notify us in advance if you sign up and can no longer attend to avoid a no-show fee. This will allow another student to take your spot.
