Career Month Workshop: Networking for Creatives

Description
If you're pursuing a career in a creative field, you've probably heard the phrase "it's all about who you know." While that may not be entirely true, a strong network can open doors when you're just getting started.
In this workshop, you'll learn how to make genuine connections with professionals in your field, as well as how to leverage your current network. All students interested in visual/performing arts, media, or communications are invited to join.
You'll learn how to:
- Create your networking "pitch"
- Connect with UMBC alumni in creative fields
- Build your network through freelancing & internships
- Make the most of LinkedIn
