If you’ve ever wondered what it is like to work for a federal agency that follows the money and takes pride in
its employees and the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives they each bring, here is your
chance to learn about the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) and our upcoming summer intern job
announcement. Agenda topics include:
- Welcome from the Comptroller General of the United States Gene Dodaro
- Overview of GAO’s DEI&A work
- Hear from employees with diverse backgrounds about why they chose GAO and their experiences working here
- Intern application process tips in preparation for our upcoming summer internship job announcement (to be posted the week of December 6)
We are bringing together a variety of employees to share with you their experiences working at GAO, with a
special emphasis on our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEI&A) within our
organization and in the work we do providing Congress and federal agencies with objective, non-partisan,
fact-based information to help the government save money and work more efficiently.
GAO has a longstanding commitment to DEI&A and continually focuses on enhancing and sustaining a culture
that is fair, diverse, and inclusive and provides opportunities for all employees to excel. We are ranked #1 midsize federal agency for job satisfaction and commitment to DEI&A by the Partnership for Public Service. All
GAO job announcements are posted to USAJOBS.
Please join us for this inaugural event and learn more about the endless possibilities with GAO.
